Let’s be blunt.

If your “diversity” table doesn’t have a seat for disability, it’s not a diversity table. It’s a PR photo.

You can’t talk inclusion, equity, belonging… and leave disability out. If you’re just checking a box and doing the bare minimum, you’re not really including. You’re performing.

We need just as much inclusion as you would do for anyone else you’re bringing to the table. Ramps. Captions. Policies. Hiring. Design. All of it.

We don’t need your pity. We need access.

Embrace all of us. Or admit you don’t embrace us at all.

Today I participated in my 20th . It was a great day even though it was cold and wet. The community definitely showed up and $80,000.00 was raised at the Halifax Walk.
