Commercial food plot equipment can get expensive fast. I put together this DIY sprayer for my Gator and used it to spread liquid lime on one of my plots. We'll see how it turns out.

I did some work on a couple small food plots this past week. My Inner Oaks food plot has a ton of clay and the ph is way off. This is a tough combination because in order to get good top soil, you need to get organic material (i.e. plant matter), but in order to get plant matter you need to have the PH correct. I tackle both of these issues. If any of you are interested in making yourself a honey hole to hunt in the woods, you might enjoy following my journey.

My sprayer broke a few years ago and I’ve really been wanting to use one on the food plots. Rather than buying one, I decided to use what I had and make one. Honestly? This is pretty sweet! (Sorry about the t-shirt. I had just got home from work and it was warm…lol)

Me and Brett both got nice turkeys yesterday morning. It was his first turkey! What a great morning. Hope to have the video of the hunt ready sometime in the next week or two. Good luck out there, boys!

Happy Sunday. After a couple days of work on the fire pit, I took the kids fishing for the first time this summer. Brett got on the board with a small largemouth. So rewarding to watch them embrace the outdoor life! Keep looking up!
