UPDATE: As fast as we put it out, we are clearing it. SUBJECT IS IN CUSTODY!There is no threat to the public at this time. The shelter in place has been lifted. Great job by everyone involved.

ALERT: There is a considerable amount of police activity at Baltimore Pike and Turner Road. If you live near that area, shelter in place for now. STAY AWAY FROM THE AREA! Multiple officers are in the area and we will update as soon as we can.

📢 Delaware County Council is holding its next Regular Public Meeting on Wednesday, March 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the County Council Public Meeting Room, located on the 1st floor of the Government Center at 201 W. Front Street in Media.

📋 About the Meetings

Delaware County Council holds recurring bi-weekly public meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month to discuss topics of interest to the County.

📌 Meeting Highlights

➡️ Make announcements and issue reports
➡️ Discuss important developments
➡️ Review administrative matters such as County contracts, purchases, agreements, and amendments

👥 Who’s in Attendance?

In addition to County Council members, meetings typically include the Executive Director, County Controller, County Solicitor, and County Clerk.

🗣️ Public Participation

The Regular Public Meeting is open to the public, and residents are welcome to attend and provide in-person comments on any topic related to the County.

🚗 Free Parking

Meeting attendees can now enjoy free parking on Wednesday evenings at our recently opened Orange Street Parking Lot, located adjacent to the Government Center Complex and accessible on W. Front Street between Orange and Citron Streets. Parking is first come, first served, and opens to the public at 5:00 p.m.

🎥 Watch Online

Meeting agendas can be accessed online, and meeting minutes are posted shortly after the conclusion of each meeting. Meetings are also live-streamed and made available for later viewing on the County’s website at DelcoPA.Gov/Meetings.
