Ok. My pond & my koi are looking very good today. So let's just sit for 10 minutes and enjoy both. You can meditate if you want or you can just sit, relax and unwind :)

A 10-minute meditation session can be a helpful tool for lowering blood pressure by inducing relaxation and reducing stress. Focus on deep breathing, and allow your breath to settle naturally while minimizing any focus on breath control. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Here's a simple guided meditation for lowering blood pressure:

1. Find a comfortable position: Sit or lie down in a quiet space where you can relax. [5]
2. Close your eyes: Gently close your eyes to minimize distractions. [6, 7, 8]
3. Focus on your breath: Take a deep breath in, allowing your belly to expand. Exhale slowly, releasing all the air. Don't worry about the speed or depth of your breath, just let it flow naturally. [3, 4]
4. Notice the sensations of breathing: Pay attention to the rise and fall of your chest or abdomen as you inhale and exhale. [9, 10, 11]
5. Let go of distractions: If your mind wanders, gently guide your attention back to your breath without judgment. [3, 4]
6. Continue for 10 minutes: Stay in this state of mindful breathing for the duration of the meditation. [1, 10, 12, 13, 14]
7. Gently open your eyes: When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and return to your day. [4, 15, 16]

This practice can be repeated daily to help manage stress and lower blood pressure. If you have any concerns about your blood pressure, consult with a healthcare professional. [1, 17, 18]

A Great memory :)

I saw a post from one of my teachers, Dr Roger Jahnke https://www.facebook.com/DrJahnke?mibextid=ZbWKwL and was reminded of my time living & working at Deer Park Monastery. 1 morning we all went up to a mountain top & participated in a morning meditation. We did this every Thursday, weather permitting but this time we had a guest with us. Thick Nhat Hahn was with us. It is a time I will never forget :)

Grief cracks you wide open. You feel emotions at a level of intensity rarely felt, and they are shocking to the system. “I cannot survive this!” you think, and yet, here you are, putting one foot before the other, surviving. Why are you still here? To experience and grow from the fullness of life. From the depths of grief, you rise higher still in your understanding of this. If you are brave enough to question reality as things you never expected to occur do occur, then you will begin to reap the benefits of going down into the depths. All other emotions will have a new layer of meaning. Friendships with those who know your pain will be richer. And the greatest treasure of all? Your grief will have brought you to the awareness that one you thought was dead and gone is part of the oneness of life and lives forever, as do you. In finding this remembrance, you find your loved one and you find your self. You are so very loved.

Here are some current pictures of the Asian style garden & pond that my son James & Daughter in law dug, planted and maintain for me. Unfortunatly I dont have the energy myself to keep garden as pristine as many other gardens I see unline but I still try to do as much w**d pulling remulching and mowing as I can. I am so gratefull to have this gift from my family. Just sitting out here today enjoying it. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
