We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pathfinder pilot, David Hamilton. We were so honored to have had the opportunity to interview him for our show and to have heard and share his story.

💔💔

We are deeply saddened to report that David Hamilton, the last surviving D-Day Pathfinder pilot, “flew west” on Sunday, January 5, at the age of 102. On the night of June 5, 1944, Hamilton took off from RAF North Witham with 19 other Pathfinder aircraft to lead the D-Day invasion. Pathfinders from the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, as well as British and Canadian airborne units, parachuted into Normandy approximately 30 minutes before the main airborne assault to mark the designated drop zones for incoming paratroopers and gliders.

Hamilton was a steadfast supporter of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) and a frequent guest at our events. He participated in the commemoration in 2019, where our own C-47, D-Day Doll, performed a flyby in his honor at his former airfield. It was our great privilege to know and work with Hamilton. He will be greatly missed.

We couldn’t start the day without wishing Maj. John “Lucky” Luckadoo a very happy 102nd birthday!

A WWII pilot with the 100th Bomb Group, Lucky flew 25 combat missions in Nazi-occupied Europe in a B-17 Flying Fortress, acting as pilot and co-pilot in near-impossible circumstances between June and October of 1943 (the average bomber crew flew 8-12 missions).
The 100th Bomb Group earned the nickname the Bloody Hundredth from its severe casualty rate. Around 77 percent of its original members were wounded, killed, or captured.
Today Lucky continues to tell and share his story and educates and advocates for those back home on the homefront, who he gives tremendous credit for helping win the war. Even creating, Home Front Heroes Day that is now nationally recognized, and celebrated on May 9, in honor of the countless number of civilians, the Rosie Riveters of the world, who helped the U.S. win WWII.

Updated! 😅
Hello all our friends, fans and supporters. It's with sad hearts to let you all know that The Swing Sisters Show will be on a hiatus. For how long, we do not know. Maybe a month, maybe a few...but you will hear from us again! Life has a way of throwing a hurdle or two in for everyone at various and sometimes inconvenient times and that is where we are currently finding ourselves. Though we are on a hiatus, we still may pop on here and there (and perhaps update you with personal endeavors and projects!).
In the meantime, keep smiling, keep "swingin" and should you want to follow us on our individual accounts, you can find Erin on IG at and Jamie at .victoryvee
Thank you for being the best supporters that 2 tomatoes could have asked for. 💋💋
