I finally found some uranium glass at a garage sale! I started experimenting with foods that fluoresce in a black light. I extracted the chlorophyll from kale and added it to white frosting. The green chlorophyll glows pink in a black light so I have a glowing cake. Looks amazing on the uranium glass cake plate. There are a bunch of other foods that glow in a black light so I’m going to be doing some tasty experimenting.

My daughter revamped her room last year and wanted something above her bed as a statement piece. I’ve been on the hunt for a vintage kitchen table but I never thought I’d find anything so spectacular. Yesterday, at my favorite shop, Village Merchant, I spied this and knew I wasn’t leaving without it. Photos don’t do justice to this magnificent, one of a kind table 😍

Yesterdays estate sale find, a melted phone with a story. I should add that’s it’s nothing exciting!!!

Apparently the phone came out of a burnt out Loblaws. The man who “rescued” this phone brought it home much to his family’s dismay. They tried to get him to get rid of it for years but were unsuccessful. The man passed away over a year ago and the family held an estate sale. They thought about tossing the phone out but decided to put it out to see if anyone wanted it. Well, they were right. I was so excited to find it as it looks like a piece of art. The man’s wife (94yrs old) said that George would be so thrilled to know that someone will be appreciating his phone as much as he did. We are now calling this piece “George’s Hotline”.

I scored this groovy little radio at a thrift stall in Montagu, South Africa, for only 10ZAR (about 50 cents American). When I got home, I Googled it and found out it's called a "Toot-a-loop" from the funky 1970s. You can wear it as a bracelet or bend it open to make it stand on its own. The sound is a bit wonky, but it still rocks! It is a FM one which apparently is quite rare! 🤩

A couple months ago I inherited this old, treasured measuring cup from my aunt who passed. I love the three spouts and I had not noticed the 'Kellogg’s' written in the bottom until today. It’s absolutely perfect with no chips or cracks. I don’t know anything about it but I Just wanted to share this treasure.

I bought this comforter for $12.90 today at Value World in Taylor MI... I googled the name on the tag and it appears to be from Poland and made of Polish Goose Down which is supposed to be really high quality and it looks new and is so fluffy! I just thought it was pretty but I think I may have stumbled on a very lucky find!
