This was my great-grandmother's rocking chair. When I first got it from my mother it had been painted with black lacquer. Someone had thrown a wet raincoat over it and the paint was ruined, so I decided to strip off the paint. I was totally shocked to find this beautiful wood and inlay under that ugly black paint. I don't know anything about where it came from (late 1800s to early 1900s) and can't find anything that looks like it.

While out today, I noticed a sign by the road that said free. So naturally I stopped. The person at the house said come on in I have tons more stuff that needs to be out of here asap. So my husband and I went in and there was so much!! These were all wrapped up in a box. Had no idea there were this many. Not to mention all the other things we picked up for free.

Recently moved into a house at the beginning of the summer and while cleaning out the attic, we came across this 1980’s Mr. Christmas ice skating display!!
I jumped for joy when I opened the box to find ALL the pieces still in perfect condition!!! She plays music and runs beautifully 🥰

*We did contact the previous owners and they said we could have it because it wasn’t their style*

wanted to share. this beautiful thing was rolled up under winter clothes in someone’s garage.
