She looked at her belly and said, “What happened to me?”
I smiled and said, “That’s where your child lived for 9 months.”
Stretch marks? Scars? Soft skin?
It’s not damage, it’s love. It’s a sacrifice. It’s the mark of a mother.
She didn’t lose her beauty... she just traded it for something far more precious: her baby.
So if you see a mama and her body’s changed, don’t say, “She let herself go.”... “She gave everything.”
To every mom who stretched, bled, broke down, and still managed to smile, thank you.
