When I was 16, my mom woke me up earlier than usual so I could catch a performance on . It was and singing “Without You”… and something in me shifted.

RENT became my world.

My friends and I ate, slept, and breathed it. We collected bottles and cans, hosted a bake sale, and somehow pulled together enough to rent a charter bus and tickets to see the OBC. They even made me a RENT board game (I know it’s still tucked away somewhere).

RENT was my first Broadway audition. It was the show I went back to again and again when I lived in NYC. And when it toured through Syracuse soon after my dad passed, it held me in a way nothing else could.

This show has shaped me, healed me, and given me life in more ways than I can count.

About last night…

& Juliet was a full-on party from the first note to the very last drop of confetti. Colorful, electric, and bursting with life in every moment.

It’s officially earned a spot on my must-see-again list.

PS: The talent in this show? Across the board. Every single person on that stage brought it.
