In this episode of Faith Feature, Joel, also the founder & president of The Joshua Fund, a ministry serving Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus Christ, shares with us how he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ, how it was formative in the formation of The Joshua Fund and the type of ministry work The Joshua Fund does. He also gives us the inside scoop of the current conflict in the Middle East between Israel & Palestine and what Christians can be doing & praying for in the midst of the conflict.

Dear ROH friends, Nancy and Robert are in need of your prayers. Robert was hospitalized with pneumonia on Christmas Eve. Over the past several days, his condition has declined. He is critically ill and currently on a ventilator to support his breathing. Please join us in asking the Lord to intervene on behalf of this precious couple.

This morning, Nancy texted a friend: “We don’t know what the days ahead will hold. This is so hard. But we know that He is a good, faithful, and kind God. And we are trusting Him to write this chapter of our story as He has each one in the past.”

I think for many of us, we get to the end of the year and we’re measuring:

Did I do enough?
Did I lead well enough?
Was I a good parent?
Did I hit my goals?

And those questions aren’t wrong, but they’re not ultimate.

The world says your identity comes from achievement.
But the gospel says: your identity is a gift, not a grade.

What you do flows from who you are, not the other way around.

When you really get that you’re a child of God… you stop trying to prove something through your success. And you stop carrying shame from your failures.

That doesn’t mean what we do doesn’t matter. It just means we do it differently.

We parent differently.
We lead differently.
We plan differently.

It’s not to impress people. It’s not to earn God’s approval. It’s worship.

So as you look back on this year, don’t just evaluate what you accomplished. Ask:

Was I faithful?
Did I abide?
Did I listen?
Did I love well?

And as you look to the year ahead: Dream big. Set goals. Plan well.

But don’t forget: success won’t fulfill you. And failure won’t define you.

If you’re walking with God, you’re already secure.

“WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN A HOMELESS PERSON ASKS YOU FOR MONEY?”

It’s a question everybody has asked themselves at least once in their lives, especially if they’ve encountered a homeless person on the street asking them for money. It can be a tough situation for anyone to be in, especially a Christian who wants to show the love of Jesus Christ to others.

Here, John Tumino, founder of In My Father's Kitchen, shares with us, based on his experience working with the homeless, the best course of action to take while still showing them the love of Jesus.
