Founded in 1968, The Black Voice has the distinction of being the first publication of its kind at a predominately white institution, Syracuse University. Established by a group of dedicated undergraduates, The Black Voice is a general interest publication that seeks to engage and further the intellectual, economic, educational, political, social and cultural dialogue of Black peoples at Syracuse

University and the greater Syracuse community. For more than 40 years, students took great care to pass on this vital institution from one class to the next.
