Bandcamp Friday is approaching, on May 1: this is when the Bandcamp platform waives their revenue share and passes the funds directly to the artists.

I have a small collection of albums available on the platform, all of which can purchased as physical CDs or digital downloads.

1 - Vida (2025, Cassio Vianna Jazz Orchestra) - original compositions for jazz big band, including the Latin Grammy nominated chart "Flight 962." Recorded in WA.

2 - Infância (2017, Cassio Vianna Jazz Orchestra) - original compositions for jazz big band, recorded in CO.

3 - Letters to Grace: A Song Cycle (2011) - an album of original songs performed by a small ensemble of musicians from Rio de Janeiro and Oregon, featuring singer Sherry Alves.

There are so many amazing artists on Bandcamp! It's a great platform to find, follow, and support them!

This just came in the mail today and what a wonderful memory it is! When I was in high school, fascinated by music scores, I dreamed of writing music for large ensembles. That dream eventually brought me to the US, where I've found people to guide and to encourage me, to share and to celebrate my music. This Latin Grammy nomination has been truly stimulating. I guess I'll keep writing!

We’re so proud to congratulate Cassio Vianna on his Latin Grammy nomination for his big band chart “Flight 962”! 🎉✨

“Flight 962” has such a beautiful story behind it. Cassio wrote the original tune in 2019 to mark his 10th year living in the U.S., inspired by the long journey from Brazil and everything that came with it — the excitement, the uncertainty, the possibilities. During the pandemic, he expanded it into a full big band arrangement (all 224 measures of it!), and the piece premiered at the 2022 JEN Conference in Dallas… the very city connected to the real Flight 962. ✈️🇧🇷

We’re honored to have this chart in the iJazzMusic catalog, and grateful that so many ensembles can discover and perform it around the world.

Congratulations again, Cassio — what an achievement! 💛🎶
