Hey guys! Sorry you haven't heard from us in a bit. We've been busy building new original content for you. Pretty soon we'll be rolling out our first full article, The Long Way Home: Part 1. Which chronicles my solo road trip from San Diego California to Port Angeles Washington. After that we'll be publishing a new article every Monday. Thanks for sticking with us. Last month I ran a Spartan race and holy crap was that an asskicker. I should also note that I used the term “ran” very loosely, as the very first 2 of the 8+ miles were uphill. This race was in Eden, Utah at Nordic Valley Ski Resort, so it had more than its fair share of steep hills. I had a great time just being outdoors pushing myself. And the other racers made this event fun and kept the motivation high. Two things I learned that day; I definitely could have benefited from more training, and just get out there. Don’t let anything get in your way. I was nowhere near the top when I finished, but I got my butt across that finish line.
No matter how you do it, get outside and enjoy what our planet has to offer.
Oh, and if you burn easily like me, wear sunscreen.

Moab Utah and the surrounding areas is a haven for all adventures.

Zion National Park!

One of my fondest memories as a kid was when my mom took me on a massive road trip over a summer, later to find out that is called over-landing, where we camped in a bunch of western US states. We went to Crater lake, Grand Tetons and many others I can hardly remember these days.

A park that stood out in my mind has always been Zion. Zion has some amazing scenery and as you guys could all see I got to take my wife and my son out to the park for both of their first time. We had so much fun. We were in good company. We all hiked up the Narrows Trail where we were in the creek the entire time wading through water and even swimming.

My son loved it and my wife was taken back by the amazing beauty of the place.

Get out there and have fun. We had fun in Zion and it is one of the most amazing parks in the US.

One of the coolest things one can do is to take your kid out with you on a trail. My son loves to hitch a ride with me when I go hiking. Take it slow and let them explore while your back takes a break.
