Tomorrow is a big day for 71 South Sound runners.

The Super Bowl of marathons is Monday morning on the streets of Boston and the South Sound will be well represented. Seventy runners from the South Sound qualified for this year's race, which can be streamed live on NBC Sports Network. Tacoma is sending 13 runners and Olympia is sending 11.

About 80 percent of Mount St. Helens climbing permits are still available. But they're not expected to last long when sales begin again tomorrow.

The Seattle station spent $12,000 to purchase and forgive $1.3 million in medical debt for 1,000 Western Washington residents.

KIRO journalist and Tacoma native Jesse Jones’ coverage of the medical debt crisis has snowballed into a community effort that has eliminated $3.3 million in debt for more than 2,600 people.
