NEW DATA: Supercell potential is increasing across parts of eastern Oklahoma Thursday morning, especially late in the morning into the afternoon. The green shaded areas highlight where the atmosphere may become favorable for rotating storms, including the Tulsa metro, Pryor Creek, Muskogee, Tahlequah, and portions of southeast Oklahoma.

This does not guarantee severe weather at any one location, but it does mean storms that develop in these zones could organize quickly and become strong. Hazards may include gusty winds, hail, and a low but non zero risk for brief rotation.

If you are in or near the highlighted areas, stay weather aware, keep alerts turned on, and be ready to seek shelter if warnings are issued. We will continue to monitor how conditions evolve as the day goes on.

As always, exact timing and locations on this map will vary, but models are showing multiple areas with rotating updrafts possible. Stay alert!

We have asked ODOT to open the road to thru traffic, they have agreed to effective today.

‼️ Please DO NOT drive around any barricades, as this will result in them shutting it down permanently until the job is complete.‼️

Thank you for your continued patience!
