Grateful. Focused. Motivated.

There was a time when none of this existed — just a kid with a dream and a lot to prove.

Today, I look around and realize how far I’ve come. The struggles, the sacrifices, the long days and nights… they were all worth it.

I’m thankful for every challenge that made me stronger, every person who supported me, and every small win that kept me moving.

This smile? It’s not about comfort. It’s about pride. I earned this.

And I’m just getting started. 👊

Sunrise. Soft sand. Salt-spray in every breath.
Today’s “warm-up” happened where Rio greets the Atlantic—Arpoador Beach. 🏄‍♂️🌊

No mats. Just barefoot grips in the sand, waves crashing a few meters away, and Morro Dois Irmãos standing tall in the background like Rio’s crown.

Hip-throws in the sand. Sweep entries between sets. Post-roll dive into the ocean. This wasn’t just training—it was a memory for life.

We wrapped it all up the carioca way: ice-cold mate gelado straight from the beach vendors.
No rush. No stress. Just Rio, Jiu-Jitsu, and the kind of morning you never forget.

One year off from competition—came back today and took double gold at NAGA.

More than the medals, this was a reminder of how much I love the jiu-jitsu competition scene. The grind, the challenge, the energy.

But above all, the most important thing—I had fun.

🔥 Tragedy Strikes Our Hyattsville Location🔥

Yesterday, around 2pm our Hyattsville location was caught in a devastating fire. The fire detective has confirmed our worst fears: this was a malicious act against us.

🙏 Thankfully, no one was there so nobody was hurt. But the damage is severe. Fire, electrical, water damage—our equipment, our space, and our sanity have all been tested.

🚨 Until further notice, all classes will be held at our Takoma Park location. We’re heartbroken but resilient. We will rebuild, stronger and more united than ever. Your support means the world to us during this challenging time.

We are very thankful to the Fire Department to show up fast and control the fire before any further damage was done.

Momentos Inesquecíveis em Cancún com a Família ❤️🌴

Nossa viagem para Cancún foi simplesmente mágica! Ao lado da minha esposa Jennifer, meu filho Alec e minha filha Zoe, exploramos praias paradisíacas, mergulhamos e brincamos muito na piscina, saboreamos comidas deliciosas e fizemos novos amigos. 😍

Mas o melhor de tudo foi o tempo que passamos juntos, rindo, abraçados e criando memórias que levaremos para sempre em nossos corações. ❤️ Esta experiência foi ainda mais especial para mim, pois cresci sem a presença de uma figura paterna dentro de casa. Poder proporcionar esses momentos de felicidade e amor à minha família é uma realização pessoal incrível. 🙏🏽✨

Unforgettable Moments in Cancún with the Family ❤️🌴

Our trip to Cancún was simply magical! Alongside my wife Jennifer, my son Alec and my daughter Zoe, we explored paradisiacal beaches, dived and played a lot in the pool, enjoyed delicious food and made new friends. 😍

But the best of all was the time we spent together, laughing, hugging and creating memories that we will forever carry in our hearts. ❤️ This experience was even more special for me, as I grew up without the presence of a father figure at home. Being able to provide these moments of happiness and love to my family is an incredible personal achievement. 🙏🏽✨
