In solidarity, I submitted to a chapbook contest today. I don't expect to win, but the process really helped me get my s**t together, and I am HAPPY to give a little cash support to a cool press. Wish me luck as I send the same sentiment to you!

Anhinga is proud to announce that we are adding a new Co-director, Karla Van Vliet, to our team! I have worked with Karla on many projects and she has years of experience in the Poetry and Visual Poetry fields as a visual artist, writer, editor, designer, and administrator. I feel invigorated that Karla is joining Lynne and me to direct the press. We have an important vision that Karla's experience and skills can bolster. That vision includes continuing to publish U.S. visual poets through our Visual Poetry Series.

Karla will share my responsibilities adding her many talents and skills to move us forward and fill gaps. This will also give Lynne more time for her love: creating books.

Additionally, please help us in welcoming our new intern, Stephanie Pierre. She is an English major at Florida A&M University. We are thrilled to have her join the team.

Proudly women run.

Yours,
Kristine
