Not Made for the Street

Not Made for the Street It is about life at the track. But beyond that, it is a passion for riding motorcycles. We advocate education and familiarity. Smooth is fast.

A common misconception is you do not hold breaks in a corner. But you should have built up enough pressure on your front end to trail it off all the way through the turn. You can save your life with this knowledge. Take a look and internalize it. N2 Track Days

I am all about making riding on the road safer if you choose to do so. There are a lot of people who might take advantage of this. I know for a fact people in ATL already do this, and do it recklessly, but you cant save stupid.
Having been a commuter for two years on a motorcycle however, I have always been pro lane split when the opportunity presents itself in high congestion. Nothing worried me more then getting rear ended, and often I would sit in a split lane to avoid those moments.
Downside is a lot of drivers do not understand it and get real aggressive with motorcyclists.

What is your take on it? Sign the petition if you agree.

Lane-splitting or filtering is the act of riding a motorcycle on the lane separation lines on a highway. This is regarded by many countries to be the smartest method of motorcycle riding in traffic. It serves as a perk to commuting on a motorcycle and reducing the impact on emissions over driving a…

"If you fall, get back up and try again"

As I prepare to get my second surgery, I can only think of this year on total. To all of the coaches, organizations, family, friends, paddock people, and any others who show us (NMFTS) support that I may not be listing here, I would like to say Thank you & Happy Holidays.

This year couldn't have been any better when it comes to riding on a track, learning what I am capable of, gradually becoming a better rider, and most of all, influencing others to get to the nearest track if they want to get a glimpse of the amount of fun you can truly have on a bike.

Bonus: How many people do you know have a Trinity Elite Pinky?

At least 1 😎😎😎

Though we focus our efforts on getting motorcycle riders on the track, we do have some strong ties to the street.

We are members of Top of the Line Ryderz MC Atlanta Chapter.

Riding a motorcycle makes you a member of a very inclusive group of people that focus a lot of what they do on strengthening their communities. Though there are of course outliers that often give motorcyclists a bad name, the fact is, much of what they do is positive.

TLR is no exception to that rule in that they organize many community service events and fundraisers to show support for their communities.

The video below is our 5th Anniversary Celebration where I was given a really close look at the bond and impact this organization can create in a community.

Love working with good people. Lars is one of those good people. Really happy we were able to get this capture for him as he promotes his 2016 racing year. Looking forward to getting him and his bike on video for his rider spotlight in the coming months.

Cold Tires! Cold Tires! Cold Tires!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend I had a great opportunity to see, ride, and experience Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama with N2 Trackdays.

Time and time again I have heard and listened to the coaches instructors and advanced riders about the importance of having the proper tire pressure and good amount of heat to the tire.

After the lunch, first session back I was feeling great. I was surrounded by such great people - N2 staff, family, and friends - I forgot all about doing "warm-up" laps around the track to get some heat to them. At the beginning of the 2nd lap I went down in T1. Low sided on my left side and after sliding about 30-50ft I only sustained a shattered right pinky.

Now as important as it may be to have heat to the tires, safety is just as important. #1 Comet racing leathers did a great job in protecting me sliding across the track. No pain what so ever. #2 Attending the riders meeting and paying attention in case a rider goes down at the track was critical for me to know and understand. No matter how many times I may have been to the track, once I felt the wheel tuck I heard every portion of the riders meeting about what to do in the event that we may fall.

Moral of the story
Heat the tires. Always.
Listen to advice given to you. It may help you one day.
