Collegetown is one of Tallahassee’s top walkable entertainment destinations and a new proposal is aimed at increasing pedestrian safety there. Matt Thompson, owner of popular hospitallity offerings Madison Social and Township, supports turning a portion of Madison Street into a pedestrian only area. Would you like to see more pedestrian safety measures in the area? The issue may be up for consideration by the City Commission soon!

In an attempt to make the area safer, Thompson will be going before the city commission May 14 to make the case for closing Madison Street.
