Somebody to Love follows the stories of four college students as they navigate identity, family, love, and trauma through a loss that intertwines their fates into a mosaic of the q***r experience.
Written and Directed by Christopher Beytia Frentzel, the film tackles themes such as sexual assault, depression and anxiety, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and internalized/externalized homophobia.
This film is a love letter to LGBTQ youth and persons with mental health issues; who find themselves struggling with these issues alone, and serves as a reminder that one can choose their own family.
