Don't be embarrassed if you lose your teeth and have dentures, dental implants, or are missing teeth.

Don't let society tell you that you're less than for experiencing tooth loss. It can happen at any age for a range of reasons!

There's nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about.

Can you still get dental implants if you have bone loss? 🤔

The short answer is: it depends, but don't lose hope just yet!

So many people are told "no" right out of the gate—sometimes even after being told they have bone loss from dentures—without ever learning about alternative solutions that actually exist.

Depending on your situation, options like bone grafting or zygomatic implants (which anchor into the cheekbone instead of the jaw) can completely change the game if you don't have standard bone density.

💡 The biggest takeaway? Always get a second opinion from a dedicated dental implant specialist who places them every single day. A specialist will run the proper scans and look at all the advanced options available to you.

Too Young for Dentures?! 🦷

Tooth loss can happen at any age for a variety of reasons. Dentures are NOT just for older individuals, and dentures don't imply that the person failed in any way.

Since when did teeth become a "luxury"? 🦷

We treat eyeballs, skin, and every other part of the body like medical necessities, yet dental and vision care are somehow treated like optional upgrades. If you lose your teeth due to health issues, medication, or pregnancy-related hyperemesis gravidarum, it shouldn’t be written off as cosmetic or left entirely out of insurance coverage.

Adult dental coverage shouldn't depend on what state you live in. Coming from personal experience, having zero dental coverage early on changes everything... and millions of Americans are still facing that exact reality today.

H.R.9831 (The Medicaid Dental Benefit Act of 2026) aims to change that by making comprehensive adult dental care, including implants, root canals, and preventative services, mandatory across the board rather than optional per state.

I get it - but we make noise about things on the internet all the time... Imagine if we ALL used our voices to support this and get comprehensive dental care for people who need it.

If this passes, it could mean better dental care for ALL in the future.
