On August 10, 2025, little Hailey — lovingly called “GG” — was just a happy 3-year-old strapped into her car seat. She had no way of knowing her world was about to shatter.
The car she was riding in veered off the road and plunged into Dundee Lake in Spalding County, Georgia.
And the most heartbreaking part?
The woman driving — the adult meant to protect her — made it out.
She climbed onto the roof of the sinking vehicle… but left Hailey inside.
No attempt to open her door.
No effort to break a window.
No dive back in to save her.
Hailey was left behind — trapped, terrified, and sinking.
By the time first responders arrived, the car had completely disappeared under the water. Deputies and firefighters smashed through the glass, pulled Hailey out, and found her limp and unresponsive.
She wasn’t breathing.
Her heart had stopped.
She was gone.
But then, a miracle.
Rescuers brought her back. Her tiny heart began to beat again. Hailey was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she continues to fight for her life.
Today, Hailey is still here — but she’s not the same.
She suffered a devastating brain injury.
She can’t speak.
She can’t eat.
She can’t move.
All she can do is breathe on her own.
Her heartbroken mother hasn’t left her side, holding her hand day after day, whispering prayers, waiting, and hoping for the smallest sign of her baby girl’s smile.
“Despite the devil’s attempt to take her from us, my baby is proving to be stronger than anyone could imagine,” her mother said.
Hailey’s story is more than a tragedy. It’s a reminder of how fragile life is, how fast everything can change, and how powerful a mother’s love can be.
Please pray for Hailey.
Please share her story.
Let her name be known. Let her fight be seen.
