Fishing the BEST Jetty In Texas! Giant Fish Everywhere! Ep. 11 (Texas Jetty Tour)

The Texas Jetty Tour reached its final destination as we made our way to the South Padre Island (SPI) Jetty, the southernmost stop of our journey along the Texas coast. Known as one of the premier saltwater fishing destinations in Texas, the SPI Jetty is home to some of the biggest and hardest-fighting fish found from shore. With ideal weather and great fishing conditions, we set out to end the series on a high note by targeting some of the Gulf Coast’s most exciting game fish.

The action did not disappoint. We battled powerful bull redfish, hooked into hard-fighting jack crevalle, and even chased fast-moving kingfish as they cruised the jetty. Every stop on the Texas Jetty Tour has presented its own challenges, but South Padre Island delivered the kind of unforgettable saltwater action that made for the perfect grand finale. From cast netting and sending out big live mullet, to throwing giant lures like spoons and xraps, this episode showcases the techniques, decisions, and persistence that helped us finish the tour with an incredible multi-species day.

The Texas Jetty Tour continued as we made our way to the South Packery Channel Jetty on the Texas coast, a jetty known for producing a wide variety of saltwater species when anglers are willing to adapt to changing conditions. With rough surf and challenging water conditions, we had to adjust our approach, switch up our presentations, and cover different areas of the rocks to stay on the fish.

Despite the tough conditions, the strategy paid off. The Texas Jetty Tour continued as we made our way to the famous North Packery Channel Jetty on the Texas coast, one of the premier jetty fishing destinations in the state. Known for its easy access and incredible variety of game fish, North Packery offers anglers the chance to hook into everything from hard-fighting jack crevalle to trophy snook and delicious mangrove snapper.

Using live bait and artificial lures, we covered the rocks searching for feeding fish and the action didn’t disappoint. We battled powerful jack crevalle that tested our gear, landed beautiful snook cruising the rocks, and added mangrove snapper to the cooler. The Smallest Jetty in Texas Was Loaded with Speckled Trout! Ep. 8 (Texas Jetty Tour)

The Texas Jetty Tour continued as we traveled to the famous Fish Pass Jetties on the Texas coast, a unique pair of short jetties built where a pass once connected the Gulf of Mexico to the bay. Over time, the pass slowly filled in, leaving behind one of the most interesting and overlooked jetty systems in Texas.

Using live croaker and artificial lures, we spent the morning targeting speckled trout along the rocks and quickly found ourselves in the middle of an incredible bite. This episode showcases why Fish Pass can still produce incredible fishing despite its small size. To wrap up the day, we kept a few fresh trout and cooked up an unforgettable fish taco catch and cook!

After 7 months of planning, fishing, filming, and editing… the final episode of the Texas Jetty Tour drops tomorrow! 🎣

This series has been one heck of an adventure. We traveled from Galveston all the way down to South Padre, fishing 11 different jetties, battling crazy weather, crawling across what felt like endless miles of rocks, learning new fisheries, and most importantly… catching fish at every single stop along the way.
