Got stopped by a train on our way home from our fantasy draft, but thankfully stopped by to see our friend and local rapscallion before, so we had some trackside beers while we waited. Talk about lucky!

Who else out there today is kicking off their fantasy football all season?? Thinking about opening up a Brews Rock league next year, would anyone be interested in joining in??

Did you know that while hops are generally tricky to grow in North Carolina (they’re more of a “tails California” plant), there are a few varieties that perform well in our climate, like Cascade and these gorgeous Zeus bines we saw at last week? Their trellises had me dreaming of a little neighbor-to-neighbor hop farm… just have to convince to go halves on some rhizomes with us… 🪴
