One of my long-time clients is a creative photographer and videographer, and we manage her Instagram.

I recently went to her wedding (which was an honor!!), and her closest friends were SHOCKED that she had a social media manager.

They had never been able to tell that someone aside from her was posting on the account.. Which is the biggest compliment! 🤭

People use Pinterest when they’re actively looking for ideas... decor, graphic designs, templates, recipes, outfits, etc. 🔍

And they’re not doomscrolling, they’re looking for what to BUY 💰 Your audience is already warm on Pinterest, so why aren’t you monetizing it yet?

And anyone can monetize their content on Pinterest! Even if you don’t physically sell any products, you can make money from affiliate links, digital products, and freebies for email captures 📩

Lots of new Instagram updates lately... 🌺 Here are of my initial thoughts!

📌 I love the Linked Reels feature!
I don’t have enough data to say if it significantly impacts conversions yet, but it is nice to have a way to direct the viewer’s journey through brand discovery

📌 Single-story views: I appreciate that they’re planning to change this, but (in my opinion) nothing has changed yet. I am still noticing story views are significantly higher when I post a single slide vs multiple!

📌 Customizable algorithm...
I think the intention here is great, but it also feels like another thing on everyone’s to-do list... For example — One week you might want to see more travel destination inspo, or workout ideas, but if that’s not a long-term change you’re craving, you’re going to have to remember to change your algorithm every time your interests change?
I like the concept, but I also think that the great thing about social media is sometimes you find things you didn’t know you needed or wanted to see. I hope this aspect of Instagram’s algorithm will still be relevant.
