Hope for Misfits We get stray and abandoned dogs off the streets in Tampa. We trap scared dogs and find them rescues or take to the shelter. We are NOT a rescue or 501(c)(3).

We support rescues & shelters through supply drives and fb fundraisers that go directly to them.

☀️🐾 Fun in the SUN (and SHADE!) Summer Drive Update 🐾☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far! We have started receiving items, and we truly appreciate every single contribution. ❤️

We still have a long way to go. This drive is supporting SIX local shelters and rescues, including Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center, Polk County Bully Project, Love4Paws , Mercy Full Project, Animalluvr's Dream Rescue , and Stranger Days Street Dog Rescue Corp.

We're collecting cooling and enrichment items to help dogs stay cool, comfortable, and mentally stimulated throughout Florida's hottest months. From cooling mats and splash pads to Kongs and puzzle toys, every donation makes a difference.

Whether you purchase one item or several, it all adds up and helps improve the lives of dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Polk County Bully Project is taking even more pups in! This mama and her 8 pups and what we believe is another pop from a previous litter we're left in a field in progress village. Connie Pavelich and Jamie Gajewski immediately went and picked them up and took them to PCBP.

These rescues cannot do this without our help. Please donate. It you cant donate, volunteer. If you cannot volunteer, share the posts. Everyone can play a part.

This is Bambi, the dumped dog we trapped last night.

We desperately need rescue interest, pledges, and a foster so we can help her get the care she needs.

Bambi is not just shaking because she's scared (thats a part of it though). She has a neurological issue. She has constant tremors, a head tilt, and wobbles when she walks. We will post additional videos as we are able.

Bambi's sister, Jupiter, is still at the shelter, and we truly believe these girls belong together. They have already lost so much, and having each other may make all the difference as they navigate whatever comes next.

We are hoping to find a rescue willing to take both sisters, but rescues need fosters to say yes. If you can foster, or if you know a rescue that may be able to help, please reach out.

It truly takes a village. ❤️ Foster and pledges needed so we can find a rescue for this pup with neurological issues and her sibling! *Video in comments.

A week ago, Sydney Alexis Szczesniakowski posted on Facebook asking for help for two stray dogs. Animal Control was able to bring one of them (A2527913) to PRC, but despite multiple attempts, they were unable to catch the other.

This morning, I set a trap, and tonight she finally went in. 🐾

A huge thank you to Joe Van Hart, who stayed with the trap until we could get there, and to Pet Grooming by Joanie, who is keeping her safe for the night. Also thank you to Jamie Gajewski for helping to come transfer her from the trap to the crate.

This sweet girl appears to have significant neurological issues. She has a constant tremor, walks with a wobble, and holds her head tilted. She clearly needs medical evaluation and a safe place to recover.

We are urgently looking for a rescue that may be able to take her and hopefully pull her sibling from PRC as well. However, rescues can only say yes when they have fosters available.

If you are willing to foster, please let us know. A foster home could be the difference between these dogs getting the help they need or not. ❤️🐾
