💛 September 12 is National Day of Encouragement.
And I think animal rescue could use a little more encouragement.
Encourage the person who keeps showing up to walk shelter dogs, even when it’s hard.
Encourage the foster who opened their home and is wondering if they’re doing enough.
Encourage the rescuer, transporter, trapper or volunteer who is tired but keeps going.
Encourage someone who is thinking about fostering or adopting to finally take that first step.
And encourage the dogs, too. ❤️
Don’t judge the dog barking behind a kennel door.
Don’t give up on the scared dog hiding in the corner.
Don’t overlook the senior, the long-stay dog or the one who doesn’t photograph perfectly.
Sometimes a dog just needs someone willing to believe there’s more to their story.
🐾 Tag someone who deserves a little encouragement today.
