✨ What is a DREAMER? 🇺🇸💭

“Dreamers” are young immigrants who were brought to the United States as children often at a very young age and have grown up here. Many of them consider the U.S. their only home. ❤️

The term comes from the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors), a proposal that aimed to offer a path to legal status for these individuals.

Although the DREAM Act hasn't passed, many Dreamers have been protected under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), which allows them to:
✅ Work legally
✅ Attend school

Dreamers are our classmates, coworkers, neighbors, and friends. They contribute to our communities in countless ways, despite living with uncertainty about their future. 💪🏽🇺🇸

🌎✨ Immigration Update – June 2025 ✨🌎
Hi friends! Here are some important updates and reminders for our immigrant community. Please share with anyone who might need this info! 💬👇

📌 Have Questions About Your Status?
Many people don’t realize they may have an old immigration case, a deportation order, or options they haven’t explored. If you're unsure, it’s worth checking!

📌 Work Permits & Renewals
Make sure you renew early—USCIS is experiencing delays. Whether it's DACA, TPS, asylum, or other categories, don’t wait until the last minute.

📌 DACA Still Active
DACA renewals are still being accepted! Stay current and double-check your eligibility.

📌 Deportation Orders & ICE
We’ve seen an increase in people with old deportation orders being contacted by ICE. Having a work permit or DACA doesn’t automatically cancel those orders. Get legal advice if you’re unsure of your record.

Let’s stay informed, protect our families, and support each other 💙

🚨 Important info for Our Immigration Community

There have been multiple reports of individuals without legal status or those with overstayed visas being detained at U.S. airports even during domestic flights.

✅ TSA agents may now have access to immigration status in their system.
✅ CBP officers have been seen at boarding gates, pulling travelers for extra screening.
✅ These incidents have occurred in Florida, New York, Texas, Tennessee, and more.

Some individuals were detained despite showing valid U.S. IDs. Others were flagged simply for accents, travel history, or pending status.

🛑 If you are undocumented or have overstayed a visa, please use caution when flying domestically.
If travel is necessary, carry proof of any pending immigration case, and know your rights.
