Here are 4️⃣ tips you need to know if you're thinking about pitching to potential clients:
1. Do your research
2. Attention-grabbing subject lines
3. Be of value to them
4. Always, always, ALWAYS follow up!

Trust me I get it, cold pitching sounds scary and it seems like it just won't work. Who the heck is gonna actually your email, much less book anything?

New around here? I’m Crystal 👋🏽

I started this business because I was sick and tired of the office 9-5. It was literally driving me crazy...

Clocking in, clocking out, lunchbreaks that are over by the time I sit down, and worst of all - asking for permission to take some time off 😩

Being a virtual assistant completely changed my life, but my reason for what I do has shifted from focusing on serving influential women (love my clients 💕) to wanting to share everything I know and have learned along the way with VAs who are struggling with finding clients.

Trust me, it matters

As a new VA I just wanted clients so I could get paid. Dassit 🤷🏽‍♀️

I didn't think about HOW I wanted to be paid so let me be the one to tell you...

Work with the clients that put your invoice on autopay!

It was so stressful having to nag clients about past due invoices and wondering when they would pay me. It was frustrating, annoying, and I really started to dislike the work that I was doing. After a lot of trial and error (and clients that just weren't a good fit for me), I realized this was something that I needed to implement not only for my sanity but also to attract higher quality clients.

When your invoice is on autopay this is a great sign that their business is stable, which means you'll be paid consistently and on time and you can create the systems you need in order to thrive as a full-time VA.

If you're doing this, STOP!

One way I've found amazing clients is using platforms like Indeed and Monster, and 9 times out of 10 the positions listed on those sites will want your resume.

As a former Human Resource Manager who has screened hundreds of resumes, if you're sending the same resume to every position you apply for you're making a huge mistake.

Clients want to see that your history and experience are related to the position they're hiring for. You should be tweaking your resume to fit each and every position you apply for,

Doing this can absolutely be time-consuming, but your application needs to grab their attention from the start or it'll be tossed!

While I'm a big believer that hindsight is 20/20 and we don't know what we don't know... there IS one thing I wish I'd known when I was first starting out with going full-time as a VA... and that's using multiple strategies to find clients.⁠

It would have saved me so much TIME and ENERGY but hey, at least I can now share that with others 🤷🏽‍♀️⁠

While I think it's so important to celebrate ALL the little wins, I have to admit that being asked to PARTNER with not one but TWO of my clients on their upcoming projects was a bit of a pinch-me moment 🤏🏽

If you know me you know that I'm an animal lover so I have to take a moment to appreciate all those beautiful furry, feathered and scaly critters we share this planet with.

What's your favorite animal? Mine is really a tie between dogs and cats 🤷🏽‍♀️ I just love them both 😂

Fall is here, Halloween is around the corner, I can just feel it in the air! 🍂🎃

Honestly, the things I'm most excited about are picking out a costume and cool Florida weather. Oh, and who could forget those pumpkin rolls from Walmart 😋 — I look forward to it every year!

I see way too many VAs only depending on social media to find clients. Trust me when I tell you there are other ways to land clients.⁠⁠⁣

I was wrapped up in the social media pressure at first myself until I perfected my pitching strategy. Now that's my FAVORITE go-to way to land clients or get a quick influx of cash when I need it.⁠⁠⁣

Here are my top three reasons for WHY you're not landing clients with pitching.⁠⁠⁣

⓵ 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵. You can't just send a random email with no strategy and no plan. You have to do research on your potential client to identify areas that you may be able to support them in. They'll feel like you're speaking DIRECTLY to their needs.⁠⁠⁣

⓶ 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀. The offers that you send with your pitches should be customized according to the research that you did in #1. Once you identify their gaps, send them a pitch specifically addressing where you can help them and how you can help them.⁠⁠⁣
