My vote is my power, my voice, my right—fought for by Black women who knew the stakes long before I was here. Today, I’m voting with them, for us, and for a future that refuses to ignore us. Sitting this one out? Not an option.

Hey bloomers, Hey🌼 I’m Kabrena or Kb, the founder & creator of .inbloom.

I founded this online community because I was tired of being sick and tired of feeling like there wasn’t something online for me. I didn’t care about reading or scrolling celebrity gossip or the latest Hollywood news. I wanted self-care and healthy lifestyle content written by us for us. 🖤🤎

Today, I would say my love for merging dope photography and written content are some of my favorite things to do when I’m not working as an FT clinician during the day.

Some of you may have noticed a shift in our content since last year. Posting every day on this app is something I’m just not into anymore. It has been revealed to not only be sustainable but also not needed.

Intentional, slow, easeful content is my mission & building a brand takes tenacity & discernment to understand that having a permanent home beyond this app like kbinbloom.com, where you can discover ways to unwind and be seen, is way more important to me.

In other news, we’ve launched a second site, .inbloom , which is growing so fast online we can barely keep up. Head to nailzinbloom.com to check out our new brand. SN: Are there any nail enthusiasts on here?

Goals for this year? 💜

1.To love my community here because if you know, you know. The growth is something, right?

2. To grow and record more podcast episodes on Bloom and Bounty. That’s right, I started at the end of 2023 documenting my journey to farming and living that slow living life. 🍃🌾🚜🧑🏾‍🌾

3. To work with brands that get it. We may never have 100K followers, but our high-quality content is top-tier over here. Get into it. 👏🏾

4. To find more bloomers who discover our content and go and share it with others because, at the end of the day that word-of-mouth is something powerful.

If you’re not on our email subscription list, head to kbinbloom.com and subscribe today. Guess what? An email is coming from me starting next week. 🥰

Sunday’s are for getting to know a new business. is the brand and business whose enamel pins have me in a chokehold.

One of my favorite things I like to do is to spotlight online businesses, and if they are BIPOC founded, you already know I’m supporting them.

Rubeena, the brains behind , and I crossed paths through a thread post where I reached out to BIPOC business owners for a collaboration shoot with .inbloom. No strings attached, just a genuine desire to discover and support more black and brown businesses while capturing some stunning shots showcasing their products in action.

A couple of weeks later, I found myself wearing on every sweatshirt and jacket I owned. One of my favorite enamels of hers is “You will be too much for some people. Those aren’t your people.”

If enamels are your thing, head to her site and subscribe to newsletter. Trust me, this community is where the magic happens, and there’s always something epic on the horizon!

Which of enamel pins caught your eye?

I couldn’t allow the week to end without sharing a resource found on kbinbloom.com. This time last year, I was inspired to research organizations near and far whose mission is to promote wellness for black people. 🍃

Thats it. It was just that simple of a search. Thank goodness I knew of a few organizations near me like , but the rest were organically discovered on Google.

It’s been a year and some change since this was published, I know there are plenty more out there that should be added to this list. If you know of any wellness-based organizations for BIPOC individuals, please tag them below 👇🏾

Get to know these organizations, and if volunteering is something you’re interested in, reach out to the ones that are in your area. The link will be in our bio 📲

Obsessed with this bag. A phrase found in a brain dump entry, I knew it had to go on a tote bag.

Every year around this time, I reach for tote bags to place things like books, flowers, farmers market produce, and everything in between.

Have you spotted our tote bag in the shop? It’s giving practical wellness accessory.

Coming off an amazing two months commemorating Black History Month & Women’s History Month, I’ll say 2024 has been great so far. I have been reading nonstop as my form of self care. When one book is done, there I go picking up another book to read.

I’m currently reading books to add to our summer book round-up on kbinbloom.com but I wanted to check with you Bloomers to find out what books you are reading.

What book has made it to your spring reading list? I’ll let you know which ones I’m reading in the comments.

If you haven’t seen our stories, I’ve shared books that would be perfect to add to your spring reading 🌸🫶🏾
