WMNF first went on the air in September, 1979, the result of a few years of hard work by a small group of dedicated volunteers who went door-to-door raising money for Florida's first community radio station. WMNF continues to be volunteer-powered and listener-sponsored, providing the listening community with eclectic music as well as non-mainstream news, views and public affairs programming. Thank

WMNF is a 70,000 watt non-commercial, listener supported community radio station, licensed to the Nathan B. Stubblefield Foundation, a non-profit organization established solely to operate WMNF. Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday is officially underway! 🛍️📚

For the next month, shoppers can save on eligible back-to-school essentials, including clothing priced at $100 or less, school supplies $50 or less, and personal computers and accessories priced at $1,500 or less.

Retail leaders say starting the tax holiday earlier this year will give families more time to shop and help ease the cost of preparing for the new school year.

Florida has distributed nearly $2.5 million in public matching funds to candidates running for governor and attorney general. 🗳️

Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly received the largest share at nearly $1.3 million, followed by Republican candidate Byron Donalds with about $662,000 and Lt. Gov. Jay Collins with nearly $118,000.
