Today, our student journalists had the opportunity to hear from special guest speaker El Caballo, who shared valuable insights about media, storytelling, and his professional experiences. Campers asked thoughtful questions, gained new perspectives, and learned more about the impact of effective communication.

Today was all about getting hands-on. Our campers spent the day behind the camera sharpening their shooting skills, getting comfortable on the mic, and figuring out how much teamwork it actually takes to put a story together.
The energy in the room was awesome—from hunting down the perfect shot to figuring out the right questions to ask in an interview, everyone really stepped up.

Final Call for CCNN Live Summer Institute: Top Miami-Dade Media Camp for Grades 6–9
Camp starts this Monday, and there are only a few spots left! Don’t get left out. This is your absolute final call to secure a seat at the CCNN Live Summer Institute—Miami-Dade County’s longest-running high school journalism summer program.
If you have a student in grades 6 through 9 who wants to master hands-on broadcasting, video editing, digital story creation, and graphic design, this is their moment to shine.
📅 Camp Details & Highlights:
Dates: June 8th – June 19th (Monday through Friday)
Time: 7:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Location: Our brand-new, state-of-the-art media studio

⏰ THE CLOCK IS TICKING! There is officially only one week left to register for the CCNN Live Summer Institute, and spots are almost completely gone.
This is your absolute final call to secure a seat at Miami-Dade County’s longest-running high school journalism summer program. If you have a student in grades 6 through 9 who wants to learn hands-on broadcasting, video editing, story creation, and graphic design, this is their moment.
The program runs from June 8th to June 19th, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM in our brand-new, state-of-the-art studio.
