In your 40s or 50s? About to be? (If not, keep on scrolling)
I listened to a really great Mel Robbins podcast yesterday about menopause and staying strong throughout all of it. I learned a lot about what happens to our bodies during this time. I'll link the youtube video in the comments!
What I Took Away from This Podcast: Menopause isn’t happening to us — it’s a transition we get to understand, embrace, and even optimize.
They also talked about how certain supplements can support women in ways we don’t even realize. For example, if you’re on an SSRI, creatine can actually help balance things out and support your mood + brain function. (Why aren’t doctors mentioning this more?!)
And, did you know?
👉 We start losing muscle FAST in our 40s and 50s.
👉 And the answer isn’t more cardio or classes… it’s lifting weights and strength training... and that could be 10 minutes a day, 3 times a week, or more.
Keeping muscle literally helps with metabolism, energy, balance, longevity — pretty much everything we care about feeling good as we age.
