TROPICAL UPDATE | As of the 2 PM update from the NHC, excluding Cristobal, the tropical wave off the coast of Africa now has a 40% chance of development over the next 7 days. No major changes to AL 92 (in red) from the previous update. If anything changes we will let you know right here.

TROPICAL UPDATE | As of the 2 PM update from the NHC, excluding Cristobal, the tropical wave off the coast of Africa now has a 40% chance of development over the next 7 days. No major changes to AL 92 (in red) from the previous update. If anything changes we will let you know right here.

CRISTOBAL | As of the 11 AM update from the NHC, we officially have Tropical Storm Cristobal in the northern Atlantic. Cristobal is expected to move into cooler waters as to moves east towards Europe. No impacts to us in Tampa Bay from this storm.

TROPICS | A 10 AM update from the NHC now has AL92 & AL93 designated in the Atlantic basin. AL93 (the red blob in the northern Atlantic) now up to an 80% chance of development and likely to be come a short-lived tropical system moving east. AL92 (red blob off of the African coastline) now also up to an 80% chance and should become a tropical depression as it moves to the west. Additionally, our tropical wave closest to Africa now is up to a 30% chance of development over the next 7 days.

TROPICS | A 10 AM update from the NHC now has AL92 & AL93 designated in the Atlantic basin. AL93 (the red blob in the northern Atlantic) now up to an 80% chance of development and likely to be come a short-lived tropical system moving east. AL92 (red blob off of the African coastline) now also up to an 80% chance and should become a tropical depression as it moves to the west. TROPICS | Overnight update keeps chances of development in the red area at 80% over the next 7 days. The system in the northern Atlantic now has a 50% chance of developing as it races away from North America. Nothing to worry about right now.
