As many of you know, Mental health is one of the causes I am MOST passionate about and last year, creating a safe space for people to openly showcase their art and take us through their mental health journey while raising funds for mental health advocacy was my mission. We were able to do just that for the Hillsborough branch of the National Alliance for Mental Illnesses [NAMI] in a sold out event where we shared testimonies of our individual journeys- we laughed, we cried, and we raised awareness and by popular demand, we’re back!
I invite you all to join me for the 2nd Annual Inhale/Exhale Benefit Showcase for an intimate gathering consisting of music, art, and an informative panel discussion which will touch on a myriad of topics including art as therapy, transmuting emotions through art and how to best navigate through mental health stigmas and challenges in today's society.
A transformative evening dedicated to advocating for mental health and su***de prevention, this powerful event -featuring some of Tampa’s finest independent artists- aims to raise essential funds for a cause that impacts us all deeply.
So mark your calendars for June 22, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm, when the Benton Media Lounge () will come alive with a vibrant blend of art, music, poetry and poignant storytelling. Attendees will be immersed in performances that celebrate resilience, hope, and community, while gaining a profound understanding of mental health issues and su***de prevention.
