The lore behind our efforts:
Collaborators DJ IVNX and DJ Veine felt that there was a literal void in the local dark electronic music scene. So much music was being neglected and ignored, and artists who remained on the outskirts of inclusion. They also realized there was little affordance available at the time for alt/dark scene DJs to take pride in their showmanship.
They had to create space for themselves in the voids that were. Through collaboration, they were able to blast through barriers, inspire others, and create a solid community of support and creativity. Not just for themselves but for every one involved.
Even though VOID was named out of a sense of irony and the ease in which the concept can be talked about in terms of music, production, promotion, and memes. The void is a unique and contextual experience to the individual. It can mean many things, and we value that VOID can be open to interpretation to those that hear it's call.
