Premiere Orlando weekend is here ✨ and I’m feeling incredibly grateful to be part of a community that continues to inspire me year after year. 🖤

One of my favorite things about this industry is that there is always something new to learn and getting the opportunity to educate, collaborate, and connect with fellow artists is something I never take for granted.

This weekend, I’ll be teaching one of my favorite classes I’ve ever created:

🧪 Acidic vs Alkaline: Next Level

This class goes beyond memorizing rules: it’s about truly understanding the why behind product behavior so you can formulate with more intention, confidence, and customization behind the chair. And this year, we’re taking it even further with a brand-new segment on how lighting impacts hair color 👀✨

If you’ll be at Premiere, come learn with me:

SATURDAY
🕙 10:00 AM–11:00 AM
📍 Room 414B

SUNDAY
🕐 1:00 PM–2:00 PM
📍 Room 414A

I’ll also be joining the Beacon Round Table with on Saturday from 3:45 PM–5:00 PM and attending the Gala with later that evening. 🖤

And because we love a little extra fun… there will be a limited number of sponsored gift bags at each class session from and , plus additional giveaways from ✨

If you’re attending this weekend, I’d love to connect so please come say hi if you see me! 🖤

The “Acidic vs Alkaline” class is one of my favorite classes I’ve ever built because it’s not just about learning rules… it’s about actually understanding WHY products behave the way they do behind the chair so you can formulate with more intention, confidence, and customization. This year, we added a segment on how lighting impacts hair color.

If you see me this weekend please come say hi 🖤 I’m really looking forward to connecting with everyone.

I just had the most incredible 35th birthday week 🤍

I took the entire week off to fully relax, spend time with friends and family, and do some deep work behind the scenes on a few upcoming projects that I’m really excited about. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed…

I was also so thankful to receive birthday PR on my actual birthday from , , , and 🥹 Feeling very loved, very inspired, and very grateful heading into this next chapter.

35 feels good ✨

Being a hairstylist is already hard enough. Long days, nonstop problem solving, standing on your feet for hours, creating custom formulas, managing clients, content, rebooks, retail, your body, your creativity… the list never ends.

That’s why I’m always so thankful for companies that truly pour back into our industry and celebrate the professionals behind the chair.
One thing I love about Color Obsessed at SalonCentric is that it actually feels built FOR hairstylists. Education, inspiration, exclusive deals, launches, community… it’s one of those reminders that our industry is still rooted in artists supporting artists.

If you’re needing a little inspiration boost, a restock moment, or honestly just an excuse to romanticize your next SalonCentric run… this is your sign. 🤍

Because there’s just something about walking into as a color obsessed stylist.

One of the biggest misconceptions I keep seeing is stylists wanting to mix Redken Shades EQ and Shades ALK together because they think “knowing the rules means you can break them.”

This is NOT one of those situations.

You cannot mix Shades EQ and Shades ALK together because they are two completely different technologies built with different chemistry, pH systems, developers, and intended behaviors inside the hair. Shades EQ is an acidic demi-permanent gloss. Shades ALK is an alkaline demi-permanent color. They were specifically engineered to work independently within their own systems.

When you start cocktailing two completely different technologies together, you are stepping into unpredictable territory. Not “creative formulation.” Unpredictable chemistry.

That means…
• Unpredictable color results
• Inconsistent oxidation
• Uneven deposit
• Unexpected tonal shifts
• Potential instability in the formula
• And yes… possibly even adverse reactions

because we truly do not know what happens when those two systems interact together outside of how they were designed and tested.

This is the part I think people forget:
These products are developed by some of the most intelligent cosmetic chemists and scientists in the world. Brands spend YEARS and millions of dollars formulating and testing these systems. If mixing Shades EQ + Shades ALK together was safe, stable, predictable, and beneficial… don’t you think the brand would absolutely want you doing it? It would literally encourage you to use more product.

Professional formulation is not about proving you can “hack” chemistry. It is about understanding WHY systems exist the way they do and respecting the science behind them.

Creative freedom should never come at the expense of hair integrity, safety, or predictability.

One thing I think we need to normalize as stylists… not every blonde service needs MAXIMUM lift. 👏

That’s exactly why I love working with Blonde IQ 5.

Blonde IQ High-Lifts are designed to give synchronized lift + tone with up to 5 levels of lift while creating a more natural dimensional result.

Sometimes we’ve been trained to think the goal is always the palest yellow possible, but in reality, the BEST blondes often come from lifting to the right canvas… not the lightest canvas.

A few things that make Blonde IQ 5:
✨ Up to 5 levels of lift in one step
✨ Designed for natural levels 3-7
✨ 1:2 ratio REQUIRED (1 part color 2 parts developer)
✨ 45 min processing
✨ You can gloss if you want additional coolness

I never thought in a million years I’d be anywhere near “fitness content”… and yet here we are😭

Somehow I went down a rabbit hole researching 3.0 Pro and the reviews were ALL over the place. Like… people either swear by it or question everything about it. Which obviously made me want to try it even more.

Here’s the thing though… this isn’t about becoming a gym bro overnight. (Can you IMAGINE?!) For me, it’s about longevity behind the chair.

We spend HOURS leaning, rotating, overextending… and no one really talks about how much that adds up on your neck and upper spine over time. So if I can build strength AND increase flexibility at the same time? I’m in.

Early thoughts:
• it stretches you more than you could ever do on your own
• You feel muscles you didn’t even know existed

If this helps me stay pain-free, keep my posture in check, and extend my career doing what I love… it’s a win.

I’ll keep you posted 👀

What’s your Blonde IQ?

Blonde isn’t one-size-fits-all… and neither is your lightener 👏

If you’ve ever felt like you’re guessing which Blonde IQ to grab, here’s the breakdown:

✨ Blonde IQ 5
Think: quick, efficient, one-step magic
• Up to 5 levels of lift
• Cream consistency
• Perfect for lift + tone in one move
• Great for natural blonding when you want soft, controlled brightness without overworking the hair

✨ Blonde IQ 7
Your controlled lifter
• Up to 7 levels of lift
• Powder
• Ideal for brunettes, auburns, reds, and warmer bases
• Gives you that steady, reliable lift when you don’t need to push to the extreme

✨ Blonde IQ 8
The versatile workhorse
• Up to 8 levels of lift
• Cream
• Made for balayage, regrowth, and on-scalp work
• Neutralizes while lifting so you’re not fighting warmth later

✨ Blonde IQ 9+
When you need to go ALL the way
• High-level lift
• Powder
• Best for major transformations and color corrections
• Built for those icy, clean blondes where lift + neutralization really matter

Cream = more control, more precision
Powder = more power, more lift potential

Once you start choosing your lightener based on the result instead of habit… everything gets easier. Your toning gets easier. Your formulations get cleaner. Your results look intentional.

Save this for your next blonding client so you’re not standing there like “wait… which one again?”

Feeling extra grateful this Hair Stylist Appreciation Month ❤️

To … thank you for always putting the PRO first. Since 1960, that’s been the standard and it still hasn’t changed in 2026. In an industry that’s constantly evolving, that kind of consistency matters more than ever.

Thank you for giving me a platform, trusting my voice, and allowing me to educate, create, and connect on a bigger level than I ever imagined.

And to every single one of you… thank you. Your support, your trust, your engagement… that’s the real platform. I don’t take that lightly for a second.

Feeling extra thankful for this career, this community, and the people who make it all possible 🤍

Scalp foiling is everywhere right now and I’m kind of laughing because it’s literally just highlights taken all the way to the scalp.

That’s it.

Nothing new, nothing reinvented. If you’ve been doing hair for a while, this is something you’ve already spent years getting really good at. The only difference now is clients are coming in asking for it by name and expecting that super soft, seamless, expensive finish.

For this one, I kept it really intentional. I used Blonde IQ 7 because I didn’t need a ton of lift, just enough to brighten her up without losing control at the scalp. When you’re working that close, it’s less about power and more about precision.

Clean sections, fine weaves, full saturation. Let the technique do the work.

Then I glossed with Redken Shades EQ Gloss using 010P + 010T to give it that icy, neutral finish that still feels soft and shiny, not over-toned or flat.

Trends are always going to come and go, but this is one of those moments where the industry just put a new name on something we’ve been mastering the whole time.
