This is definitely a reach by Godfrey who is somebody who I greatly respect and admire as a comedian and as an outspoken figure in media, but he’s actually dead wrong here. It didn’t allow us to come over here as immigrants. The civilized bill was about the basic human rights of people of color in the country at that time but again and I have to say Marcus Garvey is one of the clearest examples of Caribbean immigrants being here already and being faced with the oppression of white people right alongside Black Americans, which is why several black Americans fought alongside Garvey for black liberation during that time. Including the father of Malcolm, Little, otherwise known as Malcolm X.

My take: this Chronixx album is a phenomenal reggae offering
He has captured the essence of roots rockers rub a dub lovers rock from the 70’s and Early 80’s in a unique new way His current musical alliances with the SAULT (cleo sol, kid sister, jack penate) collective are also shining brightly. Im loving this Lo-Fi contemporary Rockers vibe he’s bringing.

Its quintissental chronixx in a new-old school style.

If you do not truly love roots reggae music you may not appreciate it fully. If you DO. Kick up you feet light your bighead spliff. And get comfortable.
