Ensuring historical preservation is inclusive for everyone. 🚒
This depiction of the Sanford Fire Department’s 150-Year mural is a great example of how our virtual tours can meet ADA Title II requirements (WCAG 2.1 Level AA). Beyond the interactive 360° visual experience, the interface prioritizes accessibility through:
∙ Audio Narratives: Providing a "Listen to the Narrative" option for users with visual impairments.
∙ Text Alternatives: Including a "Read the Narrative" feature to ensure information is perceivable for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
∙ Clear Navigation: Intuitive controls that support a range of interaction needs.
Making virtual tours accessible isn't just about legal compliance; it’s about ensuring that the dynamic and immersive experience of virtual tours is available to everyone, regardless of how they navigate the web.
