Obama Library Hit $909 Million After a $300 Million Promise, With Illinois Taxpayers On the Hook for $123 Million.

New Obama Foundation figures put the Chicago Obama Center at $909 million to build, up from an $850 million estimate after extra amenities.

When it was proposed, the project was supposed to cost $300 million.

Illinois taxpayers paid $123 million more for roads and infrastructure around the site.
