July is flying by!!! We've added new students and losing a couple, two are returning to school and another is movingto Norfolk, VA with her military spouse. They will be missed.

There's room for more, so contact us today to start in August.

It's always nice to welcome back students who have had to take time away from class for personal reasons.

By returning, it shows you have strength of conviction to your craft.

If life seems to get in the way of your passion, remind yourself to be passionate about life. Set priorities. Set goals. Start a path with small steps first. It may have twists, turns and detours, but stay focused on the end result. Don't stop, or you might get derailed or run over.

FRIDAY FILMING.

Seasons past, over the course of a year and a half (Once every six months) fortunate students of Carole Gordon Acting Class filmed seventeen short films, one shoot every six months, under the direction of Carole Gordon.

The films were shot in Lakeland at My Office and More, Divicious Cafe and Edwards-Macy Bridal Shop. Graduate students of Empire Beauty School assisted with make-up and hair. Some of the scenes were written especially for students by Carole Gordon.

From pre-production, make-up and hair, wardrobe, a holding area, breaks for lunch, set terminology, "Quiet on Set" to "Wrap", every stage of production was done professionally, and utilized students in front of and behind the camera, helping them learn all aspecs of film production.

Students received all of the edited films, with music and credits, on very special dvds, created by Dave Harrell and were invited to a screening of the films at a theatre in Tampa. It was an amazing experience for the students.

Whenever an opportunity is presented that helps you in your career, take it, and most of all, acknowledge it. Be grateful for those who work to make it possible! Keep an attitude of gratitude. Appreciate those who make it possible.
