We recently bought this house which has a large inset area in the dining room. Love the wood background but unsure how to utilize the space

It is six feet wide and I have considered built-ins but don’t want to overwhelm the room with something so large or take away from the pretty wood. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance for your kindness.

Can someone use ai to change the cabinet colors to a blue and white and removed the soffit above the 4 cabinets only and push them to the ceiling? Also new counter top anything really. We are trying to do a budget kitchen update and I really don’t like the soffit but don’t think we can remove it all the way around. How weird would it be to open just this part? Sorry I should have cleared the counter first but I assume AI can fix that too 😅

Looking for ideas of how to update this hallway. We just purchased this house and I think this is going to be my first project! Don’t hate me but I would like to paint the walls, doors and trim. Keeping the flooring the same. Also would update the door k***s and light fixture. I like the idea of the doors and trim being a little darker than the walls. I am open to anything!

Want to remove the 70’s spindles. Needs to be something there to prevent kids from tumbling over to the staircase. Would love your ideas amd photos!

Just bought our first home. This kitchen was already like this. Can someone suggest a backsplash. Not changing floors, cabinets or counter tops. Also do not want to paint cabinets as they are expensive. What can I do to make cabinets mesh well with my grey granite.

Hello! I've been lurking here for a while now, and I'm getting ready to start a kitchen remodel project. I always thought I wanted White speckled/sparkly counters, and gray cabinets. But the more I read, the more I'm thinking maybe that's not the way to go what do y'all think about this combination? My floors would be dark, slate colored ceramic tiles.
