Thank you to my cousin Jodi for writing this piece about our family, our history on Santistevan Lane, and this campaign. It reminded me why I stepped forward in the first place.

We didn’t get the outcome we hoped for, but I’m proud of the work we did together and grateful for every single person who supported this effort. Earning the highest vote total a woman has ever received in a Taos mayoral race is something we shared as a community, and it tells me that Taoseños are ready for broader voices and stronger collaboration.
My commitment to Taos doesn’t end with an election. I will continue advocating for fair funding, regional solutions, and a future where our children and grandchildren can afford to stay here. That work continues, with or without a title.
