A warming and drying trend is in store across the area. Warm with rain chances again in the forecast over and northwest of the Davis Mountains on Tuesday, then warm and dry weather expected for Wednesday.

There will be another chance of showers and thunderstorms across areas mainly west of the Pecos River this afternoon and evening. The stronger storms that develop will be capable of producing strong winds, frequent lightning strikes, and locally heavy rainfall. Drier conditions return during the middle to latter part of the week with temperatures trending slightly above normal.
