Central Lea County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 900 PM MDT.

* At 803 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southwest
of Lovington, and is nearly stationary.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Lovington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

LOVING COUNTIES THROUGH 1045 PM CDT/945 PM MDT/...

At 954 PM CDT/854 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles south of Caprock
to 9 miles west of Monument to 17 miles east of Red Bluff Reservoir.
Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hobbs, Lovington, Eunice, Jal, Tatum, Monument, Humble City,
Maljamar, Crossroads, Eunice Airport, Caprock, McDonald, Jal Airport,
Nadine, Gladiola, Tatum Airport, Knowles, Halfway, Bennett, and Lea
County Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following
areas, Central Lea, Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of Eddy
County, Northern Lea and Southern Lea and Texas, including the
following areas, Andrews, Central Brewster, Chinati Mountains,
Chisos Basin, Crane, Davis Mountains, Davis Mountains Foothills,
Dawson, Eastern Culberson, Ector, Gaines, Guadalupe Mountains Above
7000 Feet, Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, Loving, Lower Brewster
County, Marfa Plateau, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Presidio Valley,
Reeves County Plains, Upton, Van Horn and Highway 54 Corridor, Ward
and Winkler.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall
will move across the area overnight into Wednesday morning.
