Tipping is always a choice but understanding how the system works matters.

A friend called and asked if I wanted to grab breakfast, and I said yes without overthinking it. Nobody really does that anymore, and I don’t get out much, so it already felt nice just to be asked.

We checked out one spot first, but the vibe wasn’t right, so we ended up at Maria’s Place, my local spot. That felt better immediately.

I ordered the Portuguese Benedict, and they offered us a bowl of healing soup— Avgolemono. I’m going to take all the healing I can get today.

Simple morning. Good food. Good company. Exactly what I needed.
