When should you book your wedding photographer?

Many answers pop up on a quick Google search. Some sources state it's best to hire your wedding photographer anywhere between 9-18 months before your wedding date. Others say as late as 6 months prior. I personally believe, the sooner you book, the better. Why? Because you want to ensure the photographer you want to capture your wedding is available on your date. I'm not just saying this because I'm a wedding photographer, I say this because I'm a past bride. When I came across my wedding photographer's page, I was obsessed. I KNEW I wanted them for my wedding, and no one else. What truly sold me was a wedding film of a previous client. It was everything I wanted and more. I reached out just short of 11 months before our date, and booked them 10 months out. They stated I was a little late, but everything worked out and I hired the vendor team I wanted for my wedding day.
