Today marks the beginning of National Police Week it is a time dedicated to honoring the brave men and women of law enforcement who serve and protect their communities every day.

National Police Week was established in 1962 when President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week. Since then, departments across the nation have come together to recognize the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers, especially those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all current and retired law enforcement officers for their dedication, courage, and commitment to public service. We also remember and honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting others.

Please join us this week in showing appreciation for the officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
