"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds... Philippians 4:6-7"
There's a quiet kind of strength in releasing what weighs on us - not ignoring it, but choosing not to carry it alone. God invites us to bring every worry, every fear, every concern to Him, no matter how tangled or heavy they feel.
And sometimes the mountains help us remember why.
Standing in front of something so massive, so steady, so untouched by our rushing thoughts... we're reminded of how small our stresses actually are in the hands of God who is infinitely bigger.
The mountain's blue smoke rises and we breathe a little deeper, realizing the weight we carry is never meant to be carried alone.
When we release our requests, something shifts:
The grip loosens.
The pressure softens.
And His peace settles over us - a peace stronger and steadier than the tallest ridge.
Peace doesn't come from solving everything.
It comes from the releasing of everything to The One who holds all things together. The creator of the mountains and rivers.
Today, may we let go.
May we hand over what's been heavy.
And wait for His response. And may His peace guard our hearts the way the mountains guard the horizon.
