I’m Nikki: photographer, storyteller, and firm believer that every family deserves to see themselves as art. Raising four daughters, including our miracle Arwen, has taught me that time doesn’t announce when a moment becomes a memory. That truth influences everything about my process. Slowing down, noticing the quiet in-between moments, and honoring every story I’m trusted to capture.

​My background in digital photography, videography, and filmmaking allows me to blend technical craft with emotional storytelling. But more than anything, my gift is helping people feel comfortable, confident, and beautifully themselves in front of the camera.​

So… the last time I posted this chapel, it booked me another wedding. 😂

But when I sat down to finish these photographs, I kept coming back to Jenny.

I could have pushed them toward the vivid, cinematic color you usually see in my work—but that didn’t feel like her. Jenny loves her life in the country. The open fields, the worn-in boots, the cowboy hat and even this wonderfully unusual chapel all belonged together.

So I let this story become warmer, earthier and a little more weathered.

I don’t want every client’s memories to look like they were fed through the same preset. My work should still have my hand in it, but the finished photographs should carry something of the person in them, too.

And these feel like Jenny: entirely at home, completely herself and getting married her own way. 🤎

Excuse me, sir. That lemon was supposed to be a prop. 😂🍋

I’ve had the joy of photographing Rowan’s big sister for the last couple of years, so getting to finally put him in front of my camera feels extra special.

He grabbed that lemon and seriously went to town! He had the BIGGEST smiles, and was absolutely wild in the tub!

😂 Safe to say, he fits right in.

I’m so excited to finally share this. 🖤📸

This year, Nikki’s Narrative will be photographing the 19th Annual Style of Hope at the BOS Center in Springfield.

Style of Hope is Hope’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.

This year’s Fund the Need is “Fund a Smile,” helping provide dental care, treatment, and specialized sedation dentistry for children whose developmental, sensory, behavioral, or medical needs can make traditional dental care difficult or inaccessible.

I’m incredibly grateful to be behind the camera documenting an event with so much purpose behind it.

A tiny police car, delish ice cream and drinks, the cutest ice cream faces and yet it was still the K9 that stole the show. 😂

I brought my camera along to Cops, Coffee & Cold Scoops at L P Coffee & Creamery
and ended up with way too many favorites.

The community had a great time. It looked like the officers enjoyed hanging out with everyone and Officer Kissel and his K9 showed us exactly why they're the professionals. 🐾

Today, Arwen is 11. From weighing 1 pound, to defying all odds. Here you are.

If you’re new to this page, you may only know her as one of the beautiful faces that appears in my work. But long before I was photographing the girl she is today, I was her mom sitting beside an isolette, wondering what our future would look like, and if she'd live to be a part of it.

Arwen was born at just 23 weeks, weighing 1 pound 6 ounces.

For five months, life happened inside the NICU. Every tiny bit of progress mattered, and the ordinary moments I wanted so badly for her felt impossibly far away.

Now, I get to photograph them.

The birthdays. The adventures. Her changing face and every new version of the person she is becoming.

I think that’s part of why photographs mean so much to me. These aren’t simply pictures of how much she has grown. They hold the distance between where her story began and everything she fought to experience.

Today, that tiny baby is 11 years old.

Happy birthday my sweet, beautiful Arwen. Getting to watch your life unfold has been the greatest privilege of mine. 🤍

Ten years ago, Tori and I took a leap of faith together.

Apparently, the only reasonable way to celebrate a decade of friendship is to go back and do it again. 😂

This time, we’re turning it into a whole birthday trip and bringing Arwen and our families along for the adventure.

I’ll be stepping away for the weekend and won’t be available again until Monday. We have memories to make. 🤍

This little bathroom needs some serious help. 😂

So naturally, I went digging through Marketplace... my favorite place.

I found the vanity and sink and thought they were PERFECT for the new design of the place. Then somehow found this brand-new brushed gold faucet!

They need a little cleaning and love, but I feel like these two finds completely changed the direction of the bathroom.

I cannot wait until the gallery wall is finished and we can start demo on the bathroom!

and yes... I made sure there was a way to install the faucet in the sink before I went buying things w***y nilly 😜 Where there is a will.. there is a way.
