Beyond the Groove Productions and the Telluride Mountain Village Owner's Association (TMVOA) present Music on the Green with Bayou Mountain Ramblers featuring Dave Jordan, Cody Russell & Donny Morales on Friday, September 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Reflection Plaza in Mountain Village.

When legendary New Orleans songwriter and bandleader Dave Jordan collaborates with his CO musician friends, the Bayou Mountain Ramblers are born. No stranger to Telluride, Dave has been performing out here since the late 90s, including multiple performances at the Blues and Brews Festival. A New Orleans native, he is part of the fabric of the Big Easy’s world-renowned music scene and culture. He freely incorporates elements of rock, blues, funk, jam, Americana, country, and folk music, all with a rhythmic foundation that reflects his South Louisiana upbringing, weaving a colorful tapestry of American roots music through New Orleans. For his performance at Music On The Green, he’ll be joined by local favorite and Montrose native, Donny Morales on harmonica, and mystic phenom Cody Russell on pedal steel and banjo.

Whether it was personal heartbreak or the seismic shift of leaving his longtime band, Elephant Revival, Daniel Rodriguez's latest album Harboring Pearls is a snapshot of a singer-songwriter working to navigate the choppy waters of existence as best he can.

"I preserved my own sanity. I preserved my own integrity," Rodriguez says — describing a drive that comes from refusing comfort, from knowing his ethics and his direction.

The record was captured by producer David Baron at Sun Mountain, his studio perched on a ridge in the ancient Catskills above Woodstock, New York, and co-produced by Wesley Schultz, lead singer of indie-folk juggernaut The Lumineers. Schultz offered a platform of trust and steadiness that let Rodriguez stand fully in the songs.

Tracks like "El Dorado," "Anything and Everything," and "Graduation" paint vivid indie-folk pictures of a journey unfolding in real time — a search for self, purpose, and pursuit that sits at the center of the album. Rodriguez describes it as a pressure cooker, coal compressed into diamonds.

"You're on your own and these are your pearls," he says of the new songs. "It's time to pass them out."

TONIGHT! Beyond The Groove and TMVOA present Music on the Green with Cristina Vane, Friday, August 28 from 5–7 PM at Reflection Plaza in Town of Mountain Village.

Cristina Vane doesn't fit in a box, and that's the point. Born at the foothills of the Alps in Italy, raised between Italy, England, and France, and of half American–half Guatemalan heritage, she's built a sound that pulls rock roots together with pre-war blues, old-time banjo, country, and bluegrass. From busking the Venice Beach Boardwalk and working the floor at McCabe's guitar shop, she's sharpened her finger style and slide guitar and clawhammer banjo into something genuinely singular — crystalline vocals, captivating songwriting, and a stage presence that holds a crowd.

Her third studio album, "Hear My Call," is the culmination of a lifetime of miles and songs. She's shared stages with Molly Tuttle, Bob Weir, Jerry Douglas, Wynonna Judd, Sam Bush, Nikki Lane, Town Mountain, Duane Betts, Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band, Arlo McKinley, and Willi Carlisle. Rolling Stone Country and NPR have taken note. She's played String the Halls with Billy Strings, Under the Big Sky, Portland Blues Festival, Four Corners Folk Festival, and Roosterwalk.
