A response to the Tempe police interim chiefs comments at the end of todays press conference on the Tempe shooting video that took place at Patrick’s day 2023.
“I’m glad that Tempe police have made 3 confident arrests in the shooting death of 5yr old jayceon burton.
Josie Montenegro if you play with fire, you get burned. You closed out todays press conference by purposely talking down on me as a witness of the shooting aftermath because I posted something on YouTube you don’t agree with.
As a member of the free press and proud owner of TapvMediaLLC, it is my goal to produce News worthy footage for the community that is not sugar coated to fit a narrative, It is my goal to tell the truth how it should be told. Which we all know you won’t get that in the mainstream media segments.
You’re officers literally begged me for my help in assisting them in this investigation and because I didn’t bother assisting the police, they turn around and slander me in a press conference. Don’t try to cover this up Josie, I have the receipts that Detective Allyson Roy emailed me begging me to step in and help with this.
I’ve tried to help before and been burned in the process. I provided the family with info that I told them to pass on to you guys. It’s embarrassing to make these comments live on air while the family has thanked me endlessly for being there that night.
What’s embarrassing is that you will say we sit there an antagonize the police, leaving the officers no other option but to question whether we are being serious or not. What’s embarrassing is that your able to make these comments without watching the video, and knowing that we were quite respectful to the dps trooper and even gave him space to work. This trooper had no reason to believe that we were trying to distract him from anything. What’s embarrassing is you basically admit that your officers wouldn’t react in the same situation because we might be antagonizing.
Testing the waters is okay, but remember once you go out to far you better know how to swim because your partners won’t be there for you.”
