Everyone’s obsessed with going viral.

Views, likes, shares, comments—it’s treated like gold. But here’s the truth:

If you see a real estate video on Instagram using trending music labeled “Original Audio,” that likely means the music was illegally ripped from platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud and uploaded with the video. This is a copyright violation—and it’s happening constantly in real estate marketing.

Crumbl Cookie is currently being sued by Warner Bros. for $24 million for this exact issue, and Eminem’s production company is now suing Meta for allowing it.

This trend shows it’s not just videographers or individual creators at risk—brands, franchises, and affiliated clients can also be held liable.
